Well, its been a busy couple of weeks for Ryan and I, but things are moving along as smoothly as possible.  My bilateral mastectomy was performed on February 27, 2012 and everything went well with no complications.  During my admission however life was not put on hold, I was so looking forward to my surgery so that I could get a couple of days of rest, but that was not the case.  From my hospital bed, I had a consultation with Ryan's Radiologist that will be performing his central nervous system and full body radiation prior to the bone marrow transplant and managed to SELL my house. Yes, thankfully I have friends in high places and my friend Carol actually came to my bedside so that I could sign the closing papers to sell my house.  It wasn't until I was released from the hospital and under the careful eyes of Shirley and Megg that I finally got the day of rest I so needed.

So with my surgery out of the way, it now time to prepare Ryan for his transplant.  Ryan's upcoming treatment plan is as follows:
  •  Thursday, March 8:  Out-patient central nervous system radiation at MDA
  •  Friday, March 9:  Out-patient central nervous system radiation at MDA
  • Monday, March 12:  Out-patient central nervous system radiation at MDA
  • Tuesday, March 13:  Out-patient central nervous system radiation at MDA
  • Thursday, March 15:  Admitted to Texas Children's Hospital
  • Monday, March 19:  In-patient full body radiation at MDA and chemotherapy
  • Tuesday, March 20:  In-patient full body radiation at MDA and chemotherapy
  • Wednesday, March 21:  In-patient full body radiation at MDA and chemotherapy
  • Thursday, March 22:  In-patient full body radiation at MDA and chemotherapy
  • Friday, March 23:  Bone Marrow Transplant
The two weeks leading up to Ryan's transplant are going to be the worst two weeks of his little life so far.  He is going to be in so much pain and discomfort its going to make the last 4 years of his battle with cancer look like a walk in the park.  So PLEASE pray everyday for Ryan.
